Does anyone know if there is a way to combine two 'My Heritage' family trees?

Depends on what you want to do..

There is a feature which allows you to merge two gedcom files which is available in Family Tree Builder in File > Import Gedcom.

If you build your tree online, it means you will want to download Family Tree Builder and then go back to your site and on the Family Tree > Manage Trees page, use the Export Gedcom function to create a file which you can then open in Family Tree Builder. You'll also want to get a gedcom file of the tree you want to merge into yours.

Two important notes about this procedure:

1. Photos will not be transferred with the gedcom file. We currently don't have an option to export photos with gedcom files.

2.  The merge feature in Family Tree Builder cannot recognize duplicate individuals. If the two trees have many of the same people, then EXPORT A BRANCH OF THE TREE (File > Export Gedcom in Family Tree Builder) and then merge that branch only, don't merge the whole tree or you will end up with a lot of the same people twice.

If you are looking to maintain your family tree separately from the tree where you have matches, but want to link between the trees, then you've read our minds because we are working on an option that will allow you to do that right now. It will become available soon.

To give you an idea what it would mean to link between two trees - if you and I had a match in our tree and we both agreed, I could click on a special icon on my family tree and it would take me to your tree at the place where our common family tree individual was located. E.g. If we had the same grandfather, I could click on an icon on his genealogy card in my tree and be transported to your tree.

If you are looking to merge SmartMatching information for a specific individual or individuals, it can be done automatically in Family Tree Builder as part of the Premium features.

If you are not a Premium member, SmartMatching information will have to be entered manually.

I hope this information is useful to you.

Hello,

three years ago you wrote "If you are looking to maintain your family tree separately from the tree where you have matches, but want to link between the trees, then you've read our minds because we are working on an option that will allow you to do that right now. It will become available soon. "

Is that function already available? Or is there any other option how to link or merge two family trees if they were not automaticaly identified as matches by the Smart Match functionality?

Regards
