I have come across a relation in my tree, where the respective siblings of a married couple are also married.
For instance: Person A is married to B. C is the sister of A. D is the brother of B. C and D are also married. In my family tree. I've added the first marriage, and their respective siblings, but I haven't been able to figure out how to connect the two (C and D) in marriage. It seems to me that the only way to add a marriage connection is through the "add a partner"-button, which adds an entire new person.
How do I go about to achieve this mapping? Is it only possible in the downloadable software? Going back just a few generations, constellations like these are not entirely uncommon, so I hope there's a solution to building trees like this.
I understand very well your problem 'cause I've got the same thing in my family. I think you cannot do it on myHeritage, but you can do it very easily in Family Tree builder (get it free from my heritage).. So you 're working with GEDCOM files, After that, you send it again in myHeritage and your problem is solved! I know it's complicated..
Hi, any news on when this functionality will be available on the online Family Site?
I know that it is available with FTB, but one of the main reason I use the Family Site instead is the concept of community and that several members of our family can add new people and update the information. I would lose all that if I "go back" to FTB installed in a PC with just one administrator.
