My first upload to internet showed all family members with there names. After I uploaded some changes all the family members are now unknown. I am aware that family alive will showup as private but why are the one dead (some for ages) suddenly showup different. I did not change settings.
In order to fix this problem, all you have to do is use the Translation Wizard in Family Tree Builder. It is located in the Tools menu.
The Translation Wizard lets you automatically translate most common names. Names that were not recognized by the Wizard can be easily translated by you after completing the wizard.
You see, the problem with <unknown> occurs when you publish a family tree in a language other than English.
The site is looking for English and cannot understand when it sees Norwegian (or any other language), therefore the <unknown> label is shown.
Go ahead and try the Translation Wizard and let me know if it worked out for you.
jaiel, thank you, it works. Rather strange though. e.g Amsterdam in dutch is spelled the same as it is in Englisch. Bur anyway wat I do now is to paste the dutch info directely in the english section.
