To add a spiritual relative (godfather, godmother, godson or goddaughter) is VERY important for a Christian user. It has at least THE SAME importance like the natural relative (parents, sons or daughters).
Please tell us how many Christian users MyHeritage has ? This feature would be used by all of them !
We are asking for the introduction of this feature as soon as possible, because it is very, very strange to be able to add a father and a mother, but not to be able to add a godfather or a godmother ! This situation is inacceptable, every Christian user could feel confessionally DISCRIMINATED.

I am of Maori descent in New Zealand and this is also a cultural requirement to identify our God-Parents. I agree and fully support the Introduction of this Feature.
I’m also looking forward to adding spiritual relatives to my family tree. I think this is absolutely necessary for a Christian user. Actually, godfathers and godmothers are much more close to Christian families than cousins, uncles, aunts and such.
This feature is useful both for getting your site/software in line with reality and keeping a balance between different religious denominations regarding special family tree characteristics. I mean if you have the possibility to use a Jewish calendar, then you should allow Christians too to express themselves.
Could you please tell us if and when this feature will be added?
I'm very glad that there are requests for adding spritual relatives to MyHeritage. I, too, consider that they are very important when building your family tree.
