Multiple Marriages

Any idea why I am unable to produce a vertical descendant chart where one person has multiple (3) marriages without it appearing as an untidy hotch-potch? I have been playing around with the chart for hours but just cannot get the marriages to appear in chronological order.

Dear Keith,

Thank you for writing and we appreciate your patience.

I would like to point out that whenever you create a chart you should double-click on the name that you would like your chart to display from the list on the left side from withing the Family Tree Builder software.

You can also move the boxes around by dragging them and dropping them in the location you would like and sort of make your own chart representation.

Please, let me know if this still doesn't give you the results you were looking for.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I've tried moving the boxes manually, but for some reason the children from a particular marriage will not line up correctly underneath their respective parents. Plus, the connecting lines between the wives will not display correctly, they appear across the individual's box, obscuring some of the text.

Surely there must be a function somewhere within the software to line up multiple marriages in the correct order?

Cheers,

Keith.
