Dear Mr. Hinojosa,

Thank you for writing!

We already got some compalints and issues regarding our latest family tree builder with Windows 8, fortunately most of them (if not all) were solved by doing the next set of instructions:

1. Right click the shortcut and click on “Properties”.

2. Go to the ”Compatibility” tab.

3. Check the box near “Run this program in compatability mode for:” and choose “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”.

Our current software should be running alright with these settings in place - as it should work as though it's working on Windows XP.

We will be running tests to ensure that our future software will be fully compatible.

If you are dealing with and issue that you can't solve on the new Windows we will be interested to hear about it at Support@MyHeritage.com.

Regards,

Daniel D.

When will My Heritage have an app written for Windows 8 Modern Interface?  Both for x86 and ARM/Windows RT?

Ancestry has already released their app for this platform and now I feel like I chose the wrong horse!

I use Windows 8 on my desktop, Windows RT on my Surface RT and Windows Phone 8 with my latest Lumia 920. It seems like our whole family is switching from iPhone now and now that they have, there isn't a My Heritage app for us.

Hi John,

Thank you for writing.
We get a lot of requests for an app that supports it though.

I added a request for our developers to support your platform. Stay tuned!
