I have seen a few threads asking about this, but I have yet to find a fix that actually works, or that I have been able to apply...
I have two cases of children born out of wedlock in my family tree, both of whose mothers never married the fathers and the relationship status really should be "none" or "unmarried" or "friends." However, setting it to "none" or putting in a 'seperation' note doesn't seem to do anything, it still tells me the woman is my cousin's wife... or that she is related to me by marriage... and when I create the person on the tree originally, there isn't an option for "unmarried." (Only 'married,' 'divorced,' 'engaged,' or 'none.')
There was a thread that said to click "edit" for [(so and so) and (so and so)] to change them to "friends" - but I couldn't figure out how to do that at all; saw no button to edit a couple.
This is actually an option that we do not yet have in family trees online, but we are working on creating this option in the online family tree in the near future.
