There is a bug in Family Tree Builder (we've fixed it in the latest version) that causes your family tree to be duplicated rather than updated when published more than once.

Please go to Genealogy -> Family Trees on your family website and check if your tree is listed more than once. If this is the case, delete the older of the trees. This will take care of the duplication without sacrificing any new information.

Hi,

Just FYI. I just uploaded my tree and seems that the bug is still there. I had to remove one of the trees.

Is the bug on Client side? or on the hosting server?

Its client side. Go to this link and download FTB again: http://www.myheritage.com/FP/Company/download-family-tree-builder.php

Hi. I seem to have ended up with duplicate programmes too which don't seem to merge. It's easy to say delete one, but that requires some work to establish which one (with all the inputted information), to dump). I don't think this is a user problem. I think it's a My Heritage problem from, what I'm reading?

Hi John,

Thank you for writing to us.

Is it possible that you saved your project as a new project and that is why it published as a separate tree?

You can delete the extra tree very easily by going into  Family Tree > Manage Trees and there you will see the option.

I suggest deleting the tree with less people as that is probably the less updated one.

Best Regards,

Esther / MyHeritage Team
