I don't know if anyone is having this same problem. When I investigate a someone else's family page that turns out to be private, I can't go back when hit the back button, I'm stuck. I have to start all over from my Family page. IMO if a site is private, and we're not a member of it, the software shouldn't let us go to the site.
Yes, thanks, but I tried that. Are you saying that if you get to a private site, and double-click the back button, you escape?
This is the message that I get: "Welcome, Edward Klein
Your logon has been successful. However, you are currently not a member of the site that you are trying to enter.
This site is not open to guests. Therefore, you cannot visit it."
OK, fine, but then I can't go back. Oh well, maybe someone else will have the same problem.
You could also try the page history and jump back a couple of pages. If you hit the back button you may come back to a redirect page which only get you back where you came from. By double click the back button, as suggested before, may get you back past the redirecting page but if you dont double click fast enough it wount help so then use the page history.
I can double-click as fast as anyone, and it still doesn't work. But thanks for the page history suggestion. That might be an option. Knowing if a site is private ahead of time is also an option, then I won't try and go there in the first place. Thanks again.
