import GED file - confused month and day - how to fix it?

I have a GED file with dates formated as 9.Aug 1951

It always get imported wrong - as 8th of  September 1951.

Is there a way to force Family Tree Builder desktop sw or web version to recognize it correctly.

Other dates where it is like 17.Sep get recognized correctly. So the confusion is terrible - some dates are correct and some are switched....

please help...

Hi,

thank you for your inquiry. We are very sorry for the late response. Could you please explain us where did you import your tree (FTB right?) and if FTB could you please tell us what language you used during the import?

If it is not a problem please also tell us from where did you export GEDCOM. It will help us to find the bug and fix it for you.

Best regards, Justyna

I used FTB. I tried several languages - Czech and English and none of them work.

Does the Operating system langugae (locale) matter? (it's English Windows 7).

The GED file comes from old genealogy software (I don't recall the name at the moment) - . From outside of FTP.

Thanks - sorry for the late response. Can you please send us the gedcom, and provide us an example of an individual that you have the problem with? Please send it to: support@myheritage.com - we will investigate the problem. Thank you.

Best regards, Justyna
