Suggestion for Smart matches

1.

In addition to confirm/reject all. how about confirm/reject THIS PAGE for those all-too-frequent times of pages and pages of "smart" matches.  I just spent the last hour or so rejecting and rejecting page after page of stupid matches.  Each page has 50 matches, each match has 2 clicks to confirm/reject... so

2.

How about click boxes to right/left of each name.  We just check which ones we want, then at top or bottom of page is CONFIRM/REJECT CHOICES?

And please don't bother with the "Thank you for your suggestions.  I will forward them to the appropriate developer".  I can read the same canned response in other posts.

Please please please have pity on us.  TOO MANY CLICKS AND PAGES OF STUPID MATCHES.  We can put a man on the moon - why can't we get help for this frustrating part of the website?    Yell

Or can it be TURNED OFF? Laughing

It's doable, it can be done, why not do it - check boxes and a few buttons that allow you to accept, reject or cancel.

Available in most open source bulletin board frameworks and  almost all commercial versions as well, even eBay uses something similar

Don't think about it just do it and may the goddess Nike smile down upon you too.

Oh great this is starting to sound like the pages and pages of matching that came with Genes Reunited and the several clicks needed to reject....hours of work, ughhhh.

(No, Dianne did not write this I did, I have clicked in the wrong place....

Okay, I am still getting used to Smart Matches.

And partly because of that I am sticking pretty closely to the wording in the confirm/reject box. But lately I am getting dozens of Smart Matches that I know are correct matches.

And I know that the manager of the other web site will gain no new information if I simply 'Confirm' the match.

But I am instructed to 'Reject' the match only if it is not a correct match.

And I do not want to leave it unresolved on the page.

Could you add a button that says,'This will not add any information to the other web site which they do not already have; please remove this match from the system'.

This would be really helpful to people like me who take instructions and advice strictly and literally.

And please tell me; in this case if I hit the reject button does that have the same effect??

Hi Athol,

Thank you for writing to us.

I  saw that in other forum threads you made a few additional suggestions regarding Smart Matches. I will forward all these to our development team, as they are all good helpful suggestions.

Regards,

Aviv

Is something happening with the accept/reject procedure? I have over 10 000 smart matches I wish to confirm or reject.

It is so common to get lots of matches on siblings which one would want to reject immediately. The accept all button does not help much when half is to be accepted and half is to be rejected

If someone wonder what I mean take a look at this picture

This can not be hard to do! You have the reject all functionallity and the sorting of the people by different attributes already, you just need two buttons!

This would really help us!
