How do I change the profile picture is featured in the tree view. It seems that the first picture I "tag" of the person in question is the one that is used as the profile picture and there is no way of changing it afterwards. Any help you can give is appreciated.
Is your question on Family Tree Builder or on the site?
If it is on the site then to change the profile picture go to the person's info and below his picture you will see a tab that says clear personal photo. This will clear the photo but it will be kept among the person's photos.
Then you can send another picture.

I didn't post this question, but thanks for answering it Lora. I've had this problem recently (on the site) because one of the first photos that I tagged was the family reunion photo, which was rather dark. Since then I have uploaded many better individual photos of people, but the dark version from the reunion photo still shows up as the default for many people. I did try using "clear personal photo" on my own profile, and then the system randomly selected another photo to use for me.
So I don't really know what you mean by, "Then you can send another picture." After I hit "clear personal photo," I don't see any other option regarding selecting a default photo for that person--even when there are loads of photos of that person already identified.
Actually what the site does is not randomly choosing a picture rather chosing the picture you loaded after the first one.
If you want to use a specific picture that you had previously loaded to a site what I would reccomend is reloading that picture again on the site. And then you can delete the previous copy of the picture.
Currently we do not have the option of assigning an existing picture as personal photo but we are aware of this and we are working on giving that option.
Do you have to have certain permissions to change the profile picture? My cousin started this site and is the 'owner' of it. I was able to add the pictures initially when setting my my immediate family's portion of our family tree, but I don't have any of the options to change the picture as you have stated here and in the FAQ section.
