In the future will there be any way to trace mutliple links back to an ancestor or relative instead of the most direct route? I have found I am descended four different ways from one ancestor but MyHeritage only shows the most direct route.
In the future will there be any way to trace back to ancestors or relatives through the maternal line? I have an aunt by marriage on my dad's side but she also is a cousin through my mom's side. Another example is that my Great great grandfather's 1st and 2nd wives were both first cousins through their grandmother but MyHeritage just shows they married the same man.
Oh Dear Lady--You have just articulated the very same beef I have had and complained about with this program for 3 years! I wish more myHeritage members would voice their discontent with this problem! It simply CANNOT be unsolvable and should definitely be fixed with all the cousin marriages that have occurred over the centuries and that still occur. As a work-around I note in one of the fact sections in FTB and in the biography section that the person is indeed a direct ancestor, which is far from satisfactory. Come on serious genealogy buffs out there--let your dissatisfaction with this problem be known!
It should also be able to keep track of the info that was there to begin with after a few thousand names. Can't the system work the same with 6000 people as it does with 3000? I have found that it does keep track of direct ancestors, even many generations back. Don't know what is different for you. On a side note, Ancestry.com isn't much better. I have a free account with them which means that I can still have a tree, just can't communicate with anyone or research other than copying the "hints." Anyway, I have people who are more closely related to me than my "great-great-aunt's third husband's step-daughter's cousin by marriage."
Yeah I get what you are saying and with ancestry.com too. The reason the limit block on the people is probably so they can get people to pay to have their trees on here.
