At present the Profile page is accessible on the Family Tree--Modern View, but NOT on the Family Tree--Classic View.  Would you PLEASE make the Profile page accessible from the Classic View as well?  It is the Classic View that I prefer to use, because it is much more easy on the eyes and much more easily navigable.

I agree with you Ingrid. I prefer the classic view as well. With the modern view there is to much blank space (when moving left/right across page). Sometimes, when there maybe 2 or more lines connecting people, it is easy to accidentally go up or down without realising, and getting wrong people. (Does that make sense?)

Maybe the developers could think of adding any fixes to suit the classic view as well as the modern view. What do other users think? If there were enough people happy with the classic view, hopefully any fixes can be incorporated into it.

When in this forum someone agrees with me and actually takes the trouble to put it in writing, there probably is a real need.  Support team--won't you PLEASE reconsider and at least make the profile page accessible from the classic view?  I promise I won't complain about the truncated fact section, which would actually be pretty well remedied by direct access to the profile page.

Hi Ingrid and Ian,

I will forward your request to our development team.

I can't promise that they will decide to add the profile pages to the Classic view, but I assure you that this will be addressed and reconsidered.

I will post an update as soon as I get news about this issue.

Best Regards,

Shachar

Hi Ingrid,

Thank you for writing us.

The 'Classic' view is a very old format that we stopped developing a few years ago. This means that it is missing very important and useful features, and many fixes that we made (for example the new profile pages).

The 'Modern' view is our new and supported online tree editor. I strongly suggest that you switch to work in this view.

If you choose to stay with the 'Classic' view you should keep in mind that there are some features and fixes that will not be included.

Best Regards,

Shachar
