display family member's name for non-members - Forums

Hi!

maybe someone can help me here. what settings do i need to configure for non-members to view the name of people on the family tree?

the Privacy is set to public but when i try to view it in a different browser, it only shows as <private> "surname".

help will be much appreciated.

The names of living people are not accessible to non-members/guests, even if the 'public' setting is used, as a matter of policy. Personally, I like it that way.

oh ok .. thanks .. but what then is the purpose of setting it to Public?

So that non-members/guests can see dead persons.
