I have tried about 50 times over the past 8 months and still have never received the email so I can download my Gedom file. I'd really appreciate a resolution to this so I can complete this project in time for this Christmas.
I was able to download mine by going to the family tree...there was a link to export the whole thing (minus pictures). I didin't have to wait on an email from this site's "tech support". Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help, but that link just takes me to the page that generates the Gedcom and then tells me to wait for an email so I can then download the Gedcom. The problem is - I never receive the email with the link pointing to my Gedcom....
I receive all of the other emails from MyHeritage, just never this one.
Can I ask you when you last tried to export gedcom?
As you have mentioned, once you had to wait to recieve an email but you no longer need to do that. Once you go to Manage trees, at the top of the list there is a link to export a gedcom, you click that, you chose the tree that you want to export and then save it on your computer wherever it's convinient for you to find afterwards. Then you can go back to the file that you saved, double click and it will open in FTB.
So could you please try again and see if you get this screen and can complete the above steps?

The problem comes after I select family tree to export and then click the "Export GEDCOM" button. I still receive only message at the top of the screen that says
"Your gedcom is being generated now. This typically takes a few minutes.
When it is ready you will receive an email with a link to view it."
That's as far as I've ever gotten. I never receive an email and I am never given an opportunity to save my GEDCOM. I just tried it as I write this.
For some reason I am still being asked to wait for an email? Any ideas?
