I think it's very good you added sections like Recipes, Poll, Articles, etc to the Activities panel, however nobody has ever get to it, I have invited them using email and other techniques to see all the contents, but it appears they don't yet get to that part, they only use what's on the front page. I would love if there was a way to integrate a poll in the front page, or to be able to move the news section to the top, or to add a link to the homepage.
Also I have Facebook, but I can't auto publish my news into FB, I would like if there were a way to auto publish what we write in news, and also any new content in Activities, or even updates to the tree or tagging into FB.
Also, it would be great if we could, for example, chose one history in FB to publish in the site, for example, if some cousing had new photos of his children, send him an invite to have his content published in the site, with photos, that would be very nice. This would be a better way to integrate the family site and share with others.
For family search, I would like to have a way to list all FB peoples and choose the one that are part of my family, and so they could add all information from his profiles if they choose to do it, (sync profiles). Also if they could do the same and invite all of his relatives to the tree, and so on.
You are raising good points. The site activities that you mentioned will need to improved in order to get more user engagement. We are planning on doing some site changes in this section.
The Facebook integration is a bit tricky because the privacy issues are very important when it comes to exposing family information on the social networks. Most the content that is available in the family tree is too private to be easily shared on Facebook and the other social networks. The other way around is less of a problem. We will look into the possibility of allowing users who share content published on Facebook into their MyHeritage site.
