Posting a link

I am trying to make a  link to another web site, but can't seem to find a place or way to do it. I tried to do a hyperlink on the home page but it didn't work. Is this possible?

Under Activities tab, then click on Links--I have a question:

There is a description field to enter more notes (aside from the category, link and title), but why is this available when it does not show anywhere on the link page and cannot be viewed by anyone looking at the link titles (unless you click edit and Site Manager probably only one who can do that).

Could you make the description show on the Links list page?

Thanks, Pat

Hi Pat,

If you use the search in the links page,

you will get all results with the relevant letter in the link name or description.

You will also see a description line when you get the results for the search.

So the description input field is there for you to put relevant search tags for this link.

Hi Eric,

Here at MyHeritage, we have a few linking features: When smart matching is processed on your tree, and your family tree and another tree are connected, both the owners are informed, and benefit from the opportunity to collaborate and learn from each other. Merging the information gained from a Smart Match is a Premium feature. If you would like to actually merge two trees together you can do that as well, please see here: How do I merge two family trees?

We are also working on a future project that will connect between other MyHeritage trees and give you the option to move back and forth between them.

Best Regards,

Esther / MyHeritage Team
