I have created two separate trees - one for my family and another for my husband's family. I didn't realize I had to create a second site, so they are both listed under the same site, but with different tree names. I do not want them both published to the same members, as one tree is of no interest to the other. When I'm working on my husband's tree and I publish it, then it asks if I want to visit site and of course it takes me to my own tree. What do I do now to avoid having to create this whole tree all over again and avoid both trees going to the same members? Hope you can help me! Many thanks....Gail
If you have different trees, and would like different members to have access to it, here is what I suggest that you do:
Go to your account, and to MySites, on the top right of the screen. Create a new site for one of the trees.
Then invite the family members that are relevant to that site.
Then go back to Family Tree Builder, and publish the tree that you intended it for, to the new site. Please see the following post in our FAQ regarding this:
Thank you for this, Esther. However, now, when I "Publish to My Heritage.com", one of my trees is listed in duplicate and publishes twice. Also, invites are sent twice. How do I correct this? thanks again!
Please go to Family Tree Builder, and to Publishing on the toolbar > Publishing Settings. From there, you will see a list of all publishing requests to your site(s). select any that are duplicates, and then select 'remove publishing'.
This will remove that Publishing request, the next time that you publish from your Family Tree Builder.
Esther, I hope I've not gotten myself into trouble here and I apologize for being such a nuisance. I tried to delete the FALLENDER TREE myself, and now the LEONARD TREE tells me I have no more space in my premium account. I know this cannot be the case. I do not want to lose the LEONARD TREE or anything on it. Please advise - I'm tearing my hair out! Gail
Having sent you the screen shots you requested, I have now decided that I want to delete the FALLENDER TREE. It is using up too much of my paid space and I do not want to upgrade again. I only want to retain my LEONARD TREE, which is the largest one. I've deleted all individuals and photos from the FALLENDER TREE individually, but there seem to be remenents of it. Can you do it from your end, taking care to leave the LEONARD TREE intact? Thank you!
