I just figured out that I have a problem in my tree on myheritage. I entered by error the tree as if it were 2 different branches so I have one branch that is my side, and another branch that is my wife's side. Both my wife and I appear on both trees.
Branch one: Me --- ---Wife(her genealogy)
Branch two: Me(and my genealogy) ---- ---- Wife
These two branches appear on the same tree of the same myheritage account and I'm looking for a way to join then without having to re enter everything because I have quite a lot on each side, including photos, comments...
Unfortunately at this point in time there isn't a way to merge or join two family trees in the online tree editor.
It's possible to use our family tree software to perform the operation, but it will mean adding all the photos to the tree again manually.
I looked at your account details and I see that one tree has 19 people in it. That's not too many at all. It would be easiest for you simply to copy the information from the smaller tree by hand into the larger tree.
I think there's a small confusion here. I have 2 sepaerate family trees (Soum and Carias), yes, but the problem I have is not between these two, it's within the same family tree.
In the SOUM family tree, I have twice Robert Christian Philippe Louis SOUM, twice Marie-Paule Jeanne Madeleine SCHEYER and twice Laurent Robert Christian Paul SOUM.
One branch is attached to Robert C. P. L. Soum and the othe is attached to Marie-Paule M. SCHEYER. The SCHEYER side has a lot more than 19 members and entering these manually again is quite long.
Entering the pics manually for both sides is a bit of a nightmare... Is such a 'joining tool' planned in a remote future?
I'm now trying with the software, and do not find the option. On the software, my issue is then that I have two people without family link, and I need to join them. I don't find the option neither in tools nor family. Any hint?
