My surname is Ericsson, and I've always spelled it with a C. So have my parents, and grandparents.

But in papers from authorities it has been registred as "Eriksson" with K, until a few years ago when we requested a change.

What is the best way to spell our names here on MH? My grandfather for example, who is "Eriksson" in the church register, but "Ericsson" when he wrote it himself. Does minor differences like this matter when someone is searching the database?
