Hi,
could you fix a leakage of private data of people on my web site? I struggled to shift an e-mail address from one member to another. I found you actually can't simply delete an e-mail address if you set it once. I thought (following data organization logic) it would be ok if I would indicate the person as dead for a moment and than make him/her alive again. Result? An e-mail action has succeed but the people's data (my uncle and his daughter) are public now. That is not what I wanted to do. :-) BTW: a czech version is far from being perfect.
Thanks for your help!
Filip Kalfus
I'm assuming you invited this person to become a member of your family site and the site membership is what you had problems with?
If you can tell me the email address and the name of the person to whom it should belong I can fix it for you.
Hi Jaiel,
I'm sorry for the confusions. I'll try to be more clear.
The e-mail address is kalfusova@gmail.com once (and now seems forever) associated with my uncle Petr Kalfus (1938). The person to whom the email kalfusova@gmail.com belongs is my cousin and Petr's daughter Dominika Kalfusová (1968). Petr has no email.
The other trouble is that Petr's and Dominika's personal data (date of birth, first name etc.) are public. Any guest can read them at the moment.
And finally I would like to retrieve a complete address of Jana Matějková and replace it with just "Praha".
I see that Dominika and Petr's email addresses are sorted out now. Did Tomas help you? Thanks Tomas!
Dominika and Petr's name, birth date and other personal details are visible only to the people you invite to be members of your family site. As long as they are listed as living in the family tree their personal information is hidden when guests come to view the tree.
I have fixed Jana's address for you. It is now written as: Praha, Czech Republic.
Thanks for your help!
I'm afraid one problem remains unfixed. Dominika's and Petr's private data are still public.
Tomas has described for me the way I could fix an email association problem on my own. I'll try it next time.
I'm very happy with your quick and warm response and hope fixing my problems is not just a nuisance.
Snad to bude opraveno.
