I sent an invitation to 4 of my family members to join my family site that I made. 3 of them did not receive an invitation (even in their spam folder) and 1 of them did - but it was blank. I sent one to myself at another email address and I never got it. Is anyone else having trouble inviting people to join their family pages?
I plan on emailing them tonight when I get home from work, but I just thought I'd check to see if anyone was having similar problems.
I wonder if it has something to do with my firewall at work, because I'm trying to send more again today while I'm here at work - and i'm not receiving them - even though it says they've sent.
But it was working when I sent them from home last night. I will try sending them from home later today.
Not sure what happend, but the invites seem to be working now! As soon as I changed it to Template B in the html style, it started working. All 3 templates work now.
After seeing your message, I thought I would send myself an invite (to an alternate address) to see if it worked, since I have invited other family members earlier today as well.
My alternate email did receive the invite. It was Informal, HTML, Template B.
The instructions seem to indicate that the email recieved will have an option to join or to decline... but it did not contain any declination options...
Which email domains are they being sent to? GMail? Yahoo? Hotmail?
I sent one to myself at a yahoo address, and another to a gmail, also to my work email address. They were all informal, text versions. And previously I had sent an html version to my yahoo address - informal - and I believe the first template. No luck yet. I will try the different templates and some different emails when I get home from work.
Please try sending out text (rather than HTML) invitations and see if it works. You can actually do a re-invite on the invitations you already sent, but select the Text format instead of HTML. Re-invite yourself too at the other email address. Let me know if that worked.
