Di,

I had a similar problem, because I (foolishly) expected the program to recognize when I duplicated a person and instead of adding them again just make the connection. Wrong. What I ended up having to do was completely deleting all mention of the person.

To delete a person, I generally use the tree view: right click on the person's card. A pop-up menu should appear. Highlight the "Person" menu item, and a second sub-menu should appear. The last option on this sub-menu should be "Delete person" , with a trash can icon.  Click here. Then once the person is completely deleted, I can go back and re-enter the correct information for the person and relationships.

Hope this helps

Just like to thank Bob 63 for his very informative answer to my recent query - can't find any other way to contact him so I'm doing it here! Thank you so much Bob.

Di,

You're quite welcome. Posting your message to me here on the board was fine; I have it set so that a person's reply has the board send me an e-mail.

Glad my advice was useful. Judging by some of the posts I've seen, the support boffins seem to be permanently at tea.

Bob
