I added my coussin to the memberslist last week and he made some changes to the tree/site
is there a way that i can make him a member and not be able to add people or change dates so only the 2 webmaster can.

I have a suggestion for you to try. On the front page under the row of buttons is a link for Administration. Click there. A set of icons appear. Click on Privacy. On the next screen, select the Address Book tab. The next screen should have "Can members post content on the site?" and Yes/No radio buttons. Select No, then save your preferences.
Be advised that I have NOT tried this, but I believe it is the option that you want. As my site has few members and I am the only webmaster, I don't have this sort of problem...my problem is gettting my members to help me!
