I deleted my web tree in hopes that my "Family Tree Builder" version would become the default version, however now users cannot edit entries... I've tried to create a new web version which now displays and people can edit, however how can I import hte GED file that I exported prior to deletion... I.e. Restore my data?
When you create a tree in Family Tree Builder, changes and updates should be made there and then republished to your family site.
If you'd like to have a tree everyone can edit online, it is best to upload a gedcom - just like you thought.
You can export a gedcom from FTB by clicking the File > Export Gedcom. Save the file to your computer. Now go to your family site and click on Family Tree > Upload Gedcom.
Browse to find the gedcom file you created in FTB and click upload. Your new tree will be created shortly and then you and your family members can start working on the tree directly from your site.
