I cannot get the MyHeritage toolbar to uninstall...

I don't want to disable the thing, I want to completely remove it from my computer. How can I do this?

Do you want to uninstalled whole tree builder... go to control panel... add & remove... scroll down to MyHeritage builder.... remove.

There is no bloody 'myheritage...' in the add/remove programs stuff. How do we completely remove the program?

It's called 'Celebrity Toolbar' or something like that. Go to Control Panel and uninstall it from there.

Lol, I just said it wasn't there. There was NOTHING in the 'uninstall a program' part of the control panel. But for anyone else with the same problem, I found the solution on another post... go to 'my computer' to 'c drive' to 'program files' to 'celebrity toolbar' to the file that's got the word 'uninstall' in it.

Then what do I do once I have found the uninstall icon?

I did it... follow "jhall4"'s instructions and find the icon in that folder that says celebrityuninstall, click on it and it removes everything. Hope it works for you :)

I deleted everything on my computer what has myheritage icon and then read this...

Now I can' t find totlbar anywhere and I uninstalled program. But everything is still bad- Myheritage appears instead of Google

Can anybody help me, please?

General uninstall:

To remove the toolbar from your computer, please go to

Start menu > Control Panel > Add remove programs,

and there you will see the option to remove the Family toolbar or Celebrity Toolbar,

whichever you had installed.

IE:

Reset search

1. Do not open Internet Explorer. Make sure all browser Windows and other applications (including email) are closed.

2. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop

3. Choose 'Properties'

4. Click the 'Programs' tab

5. Click the 'Reset Web Settings' button

6. Click 'Apply'

7. Click 'OK'

New tab:

To disable the MyHeritage search in a new tab,

open a new tab,

click on the 'Toggle history off' link at the bottom of the page,

and then click on 'Remove this page'.

Firefox:

address bar search:

You can restore the default search in Firefox in this way:

Type About:config in the address bar

Click ok to advanced

Type 'keyword' in the Filter

Right click on Keyword.URL

And choose ‘Reset’
