In our family tree software Family Tree Builder one of the Premium features allows you to automatically merge matches into your tree. (as opposed to manually copying the information)
If you are having problems with Smart Matching, kindly explain what happened and we'll help you. Please make sure to clarify whether the problem occurs in Family Tree Builder, on your family site, in an email that you received, etc.

I have used the browser based "Family Tree" "Tree" view "Modern" to add many family records. Very convenient! On several occasions, "Smart Match" icons appeared in some boxes. However, they are very rarely present and I've not found a way to make them visible. On one occasion I clicked on one and it successfully matched a record to entries already created by a distant family member that I'd never met. So I see the system is working behind the scenes - but links are showing rarely if ever so I can't access it. The "Family Tree" "Smart Matches" page reports "No matches are currently available" (yes I'm only a few days in). I am using Chrome on a Windows XP box.
When I first started my family tree (basic user), I immediately saw several smart matches. Very exciting! I looked them over and then closed the window to try to figure out how to add the new information. Now the smart matches don't show up at all and in the Smart Matches window it says that I don't have any. Why?
