Can anybody help me.

I received an automatic email from the website, telling me I have 12 smartmatches with other Family trees.  All are correct.

How do I now link my tree with the others?

I have a "basic" membership with myheritage.com. 

Or do i need to subscribe to Premium in order to be able to match the websites???

You can see your Smart Matches in two places:

1. In your Family Site, in the Family Tree > Smart Matches page. Here you will be able to view the information in the matched tree, as well as send a message to the other Site Manager, requesting membership in his Family Site, for example.

2. In Family Tree Builder, in the Smart Matches section. Here you will be able to view the match, send a message to the other Site manager, and if you are a Premium user - use the auto-merge function, to add the new information to your tree.  

In the future we will add the option of adding links between two trees on MyHeritage.com.

Hi,

We will soon add new functionalities to the Smart Matching feature, which will give you better control over the sorting of the matches.

In the meanwhile,

You can mark certain matches as rejected in Family Tree Builder,

by going to the Matches tab, and clicking on the Change Status button. 

you can also log in to your Family Site,

go to the Family Tree > Manage Trees page,

click on the Edit link next to your tree,

and turn off Smart Matches.

I can't give you an exact date,

but our development team is now working on a new version of Smart Matches,

and it is scheduled for release at the beginning of 2011.

The new Smart Matches functionaliy allows you to confirm matches with another tree and family site.

Once the other Site Manager confirmst this match as well, a link will be established between the two trees at the point of this individual.

A page will be created for the match, on which you and the other site manager will be able to post comments regarding this individual.

Each tree will still remain under the control of its respective site manager, but the sharing of information will allow you to enhance your tree.
