remove a "marriage"

My sister has a daughter from a relathionship prior to her marriage.  When I entered him into the site (he is the father of my neice) it set them as married.  They never married, in fact he tucked tail and ran when he found out she was pregnant.  How can I set him as my neices father WITHOUT setting him as my sister's husband?

I'm using the webiste in a Mac.

Well, I'm not from the heritage team, but what I do in a similar situation was delete the father and the daughter, then, in your sister name add a couple, when you place the info set the situation (not married) and then add your niece directly from her father, and in your nieces info select your sister as a mother...

I'd like to try that, but I can't figure out how to delete some.  Can you tell me how you did that?

Hi Dana,

It is currently not possible to display non-married partners in the online Family Tree,

it is only possible in Family Tree Builder

We will soon add this feature to the Family Site as well.
