I have both my sites set as Private-open to members only, and I understood nobody else could access my sites,in any way.
I was at somones place the other day,and he sat in front of his computer, and put "rawleigh Family Tree my heritage "into his browser.A lot of websites popped up,including mine because it named about four family members in the copy.He clicked on this, and i was horrified to see photos from my site pop up ,with access to all albums and people.Even if you delete "my heritage, it just takes more browsing and more time BUT it`s still there
So I tried it when i got home and "voila"-same thing. This means anyone could fluke this with very little trouble.
This is not the privacy I understood from your Privacy Statement under "who will be able to view our private family website."
Have i got a setting wrong OR do we have a problem
The procedure referenced from the FAQS for how to “make album private” does not work for Recent Photos. The procedure works fine for all my other albums.
My hope is that the Recent Photos Album is just a temporary convience tool and not accessible or indexable by anyone except site members.
REF: quoting from the site FAQ's -:”Of course, it is your decision if you wish to allow Google to index your photos. At MyHeritage.com it is possible to privatize your photo albums so they can only be viewed by your invited family site members…” and from the site "Terms" – “In no case is the personal information about individual members sold or otherwise shared with advertisers, sponsors, partners or other 3rd parties. And under no circumstances is this information collected or distributed in any form without your prior knowledge and consent.”
