In my pictures, I would like to tag/associate names for people not in my family tree, like friends or neighbours, celebrities etc. It is possible to tag them in Web interface, but not in FTB I guess. Is there any way ?

The answer below is correct, you have to have the person in your tree (can add as an unrelated person) before tagging that person in a photo). Tagging a person with free text as a solution for tagging non-relatives, is not a very good solution and we didn't add this, because that doesn't create an object for the name you've added, preventing re-use in the future. Also imaging you've tagged a person 10 times and then discover that he *is* a relative, if that was some foreign object you cannot then convert it into an individual in your tree. On the Website this is possible, but it creates a problem where the foreign tagged people are not part of the tree and cannot even be made a part of the tree. We are working on solution for that in the next version of the online tree.
