Possibility to close the "Get Family Toolbar" bar on the web-site - Forums

This one is allways there and I do not want to install that on my PC at the moment. I would like to get rid of that bar on the screen since it is taking up space.

Hi Stella,

In order to remove the Family Toolbar, right-click on an empty space in the browser's menu bar (where it says File, Edit, etc.). In the menu that opens, click on Family Toolbar to deselect and it will disappear .

Here you can see the beige "Take Lars Brink to the next level: ..." bar under the menus.

The banner you see is not removable unless you download the family toolbar. Sorry.

As a workaround you can download the toolbar but not install. You aren't under any obligation to install the toolbar.

I have tried that work-around and it doesn't seem to work. The download offer returns next time I go to the site again.

Hi Lars,

I gave you a work around that wasn't entirely accurate, apologies.

The banner is displayed for users who haven't installed the toolbar. It appears five times every session. Then it disappears.

I've sent a suggestion to the developers to add a "don't show me again" option on the banner.
