I have made a family tree in FTB, then I have upload it on the internet. I tried to make some changes in it (names, adding people) but I'm not able to do it. On the cards in the tree there are no ADD an EDIT buttons. What am I doing wrong? May I have to give permissions for editing somewhere? Please help me!
(I don't jnow whether it matters, but I'm using it BASIC.)
It is not possible to edit online family trees that have been published using FTB. Any editing of these trees must be done offline on your local computer and then published or republished through FTB.
Understand that there are three methods of putting your tree online.
1. Develop it online by starting a new tree on your site. This is done through using the add new file link found by selecting the Family Tree tab on the main menu and then selecting Manage trees on the subsequent menu. You will then see the add new file link and this will allow you to construct a tree interactively. Any tree created this way can be edited online by you and anyone you invite as a site member.
2. You can construct your tree offline using FTB or any other software that allows building a Gedcom file. The subsequent Gedcom file can then be uploaded to your site by by selecting the Family Tree tab on the main menu and then selecting Import Gedcom on the subsequent menu and following the resulting prompts. This method also allows online editing.
3. You can publish your tree to your online site using the Publishing menu item in your FTB offline software (or the Publish Icon). Trees created using this method can only be edited offline and then republished to the online site.
On my site I include both types of trees, the Gedcom which I have family members collaborate on and edit themself and a published tree that I update offline using the updated information that the collaborators have added..

I have the exact same problem as Julie and I checked and I am logged in but I still do not see any add links to add anything. We just had a new baby on my dad's side but cannot find out how to add him and I also want to add some pictures.
I just got a new computer and have Vista and I am a Premium member.
