I'm getting ready for a large reunion and I would like to be able to give each adult family member a form for them to list their details and would also have printed the info that we already have ( some of which is inaccurate or obsolete. ) Can this be done with the current system or can it be done in the future
Sorry for the late response. If you are using the Family Tree Builder software you can go to the Reports section and select the Family Group Sheet report. This is a printable report that shows a form with all the information about a couple and their children. It lists the information that has already been entered and the information that is still missing. On the left panel you see a list of all the people in the family. Double click one to see this report about this person and his/her partner. You can print this report or save it to PDF and email it. If you don’t use FTB (Family Tree Builder) we don’t have this convenient feature on the site. However, you can export your family tree to GEDCOM format from the site and then import it into Family Tree Builder and continue as described above. To export the family tree to GEDCOM format, go to the “Family tree” tab (the second tab) and click the “Manage trees” page link. In this page, click the “Export GEDCOM” link. In the page that opens select your tree (if you have more than one) and the language of the data. To import a GEDCOM file into FTB (you can download it from our site from: http://www.myheritage.com/family-tree-builder) Open FTB and go to File > Import in the program’s main menu and select the GEDCOM file you just downloaded.
Yes. What I would like is a single sheet per person which would have space for all the relevant infomation about that person with a cross reference to both parents and children. This would just be enough
The sheet should contain the information that is one tabs MAIN CONTACT INFO and possibly PHYSICAL.
Until each member can download FTB to update the site something like this is necessary .
I've followed the suggest ion of having two trees, one from ftb and one from a ged that is editable one the site so that people can do their updates but it is a pain to then find the change and update FTB.
