I was told a while back that once a member is setup that only that member can change their own profile. The email account becomes part of their profile.
I had setup members using out-dated email addresses and later we are having issues with those members having access I was told the only way was to delete those members and re-add with the correct email address.
As a site manager.... we still have limited powers! We can't change everything.
I told them, I thought this was a dumb. I'm hoping more people complain about this.
I am having a similar problem as a site manager. I invited somebody in my family tree with someone else's email address. I noticed the error, deleted both family members, and re-entered the correct information. However, that email address is still associated with the wrong person. It seems that the association from email address to person name cannot be changed by the site manager, and is stored separately from the information in the tree. Can it be corrected by someone in support?
I entered the wrong e-mail address for a family member. I have deleted and then added this person. This family member still exists with the wrong e-mail address in the "invite members" list!
Argghhhhhh, These kinds of problems are irritating.
