Deleting a smart match

If I realise that a 'smart match' is not relevant, how do I delete or stop that smart match from popping up again?

Hi Margy,

Currently there is no way to delete a smart match from the list.

We'll be adding this function soon.

I fully understand that one can not do things overnight, but should it really have to take more than two years to fix, so that you can remove a smart mach which is not relevant. very slow

I understand that a year ago there was no option for deleting a smart match. I'm wondering if there has been an upgrade for this since then?

I made the mistake of merging two smart matches and now I am unable to edit either of the people involved. I can't even delete them and start over. Any suggestions for dealing with this would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks and I look forward to this function!

Another short question ... I keep on getting an error message when I try to open the tree function on my website. Am I doing something wrong?

Does it tell you "Error loading, please refresh browser"?

Can you tell me the website address of your family site?

I'd like to turn off my smart matches...

Actually, I'd like to select the people I want to match.

Hi Tom,

I think you'll find the following FAQ helpful:

How do I change the Smart Match™ settings for my online tree?

I have forwarded your suggestion to disable Smart Matching for specific individuals in the tree to the appropriate department for further consideration.

Best regards,

Shani
