If I realise that a 'smart match' is not relevant, how do I delete or stop that smart match from popping up again?

I understand that a year ago there was no option for deleting a smart match. I'm wondering if there has been an upgrade for this since then?

I made the mistake of merging two smart matches and now I am unable to edit either of the people involved. I can't even delete them and start over. Any suggestions for dealing with this would be very much appreciated.

Does it tell you "Error loading, please refresh browser"?
