On Aug 24th, I did the upgrade as suggested. created an error after completion when it was to open. Since then I have sent emails and have received no replies. Can someone please help. no files will open, not sample or backups. I do not want to lose all my information. Please help.
I tried the backup help that was mentioned to another user. It operated the exact way and I still cannot access any documents.
We just released another, more stable update, can you please try to download it and let me know what messages, if any, you receive? If you can take a screenshot, that would be great.
In MyDocuments -> MyHeritage -> (name of your family tree) -> Database you should see the zedcom file of your tree.
If after the update you still have problems opening the tree, go here and double click on the this file. It should open in FTB without a problem.

Are you by any chance running on Vista? If yes, please log on as the Adminstrator when you want to use FTB and let me know if that makes a difference.
Your family tree should be located in a folder on your computer under MyDocuments/MyHeritage/NameofYourProject (just in case you need to find the file itself).
