From what I have found, the Smart Matching does all the finding for you. The more names/relatives you have, the more chances of finding a match. If there is someone with a family tree on Heritage that has names that match yours it will find them! It has even found similar names of people for me with the same date of birth. can anyone please shed some light on why the people in my family tree (which is my Father's family) are all listed in relationship with my step-mother, i.e. my uncle is listed as 'brother-in-law' instead of 'father's brother' or 'uncle', and why I can't alter this? It is most annoying because I am doing this family tree for my dad and want him to have the proper information. I know it probably won't matter too much to him but it isn't correct and I would like it to be right. Thanks for your help.
I think that you have probably listed your dads brother through your step mother rather than adding names through your fathers list. When on your father click add then add sibling etc that way. The way Heritage is done doesn't seem to take in to account that we may have other relatives through marriage eg like second marriages

I have looked again at the way I have listed my relatives but, unfortunately, it appears that everyone I have listed has been through my Dad's side of the family. That-is-to-say, I have listed his siblings and my brother and myself all through him and not through my mum (step-mum that is). Ah well, I'd best try again. Hopefully, the penny will drop and I'll see something I've missed all this time. Again, thank you for your reply.

I first tried running it 2 weeks ago & got through 174 of 500 people & I had to stop it, as my computer needed to had some system updates, but since then I can't get any futher as it will not process, I've tried mutiple times & this is driving me a bit insane.
Do uninstall myheritage & re-install it to get this to work? Does anyone have any ideas?
As some one else said, be patient, Ive been doing Tree search for about 5 years straight and if it wasn't for time=2 years later getting an answer from a Blog on a geneology site, the rest is history. Also paying for MyHeritage is Awesome and far less then ancestry.com
If you just edited your tree in the past few days, then this will cause the smartmatches to be recalculated for your site. Please keep in mind, that after a Smart Matching request is made, you will not get matches immediately.
This may take time, as there is a long list of sites that are waiting for matches.
Premium users do get priority smart match processing. For paying users, it can take up to 48 hours to receive matches.
For non-paying users, there is a delay of 2-3 weeks.
I am trying to find information re John and Mary Cryan (nee Murray) I have them being married on 4th July, 1857 in Leitrim Ireland. (John was listed as a farmer)
I think there was a daughter Maria Cryan born 1857-1859 she migrated to Qld Australia 21/2/1879 & married James Miller 0n 21/9/1882
On the same ship was a Bridget Cryan aged 17 yrs but I cannot find anymore information on her at all.
There is a gap then a James Cryan ?born 1870, Margaret Cryan ?born 1872, I have a John & a Michael as well but feel there were other members of this family in Ireland we do not know about.
I am also looking for the parents of Arthur William O'Connor & Margaret Mooney who migrated to Australia from Ireland on 18th July, 1855 & I think were married in 1854 In ? Dublin, their family was all born here in Australia.
According to shipping records Arthur would have been born around 1928 in Ireland but I do not know place, I think Margaret would have been born in the 1830's.
If anyone has any information on bothese these families & would share it with me I would be most thankful as I have drawn a blank.
Try this site, they have alpt of actual copies from England. Also try emailing the church's and or Parish's around that area and ask if any one in the Congrication would be interested in doing some research for you. Becareful about suggesting to compinate anything up front but do compinsate something-MAaster Card/ American Exopress type gift Cards work good. Usually a retired person will help. Sometimes it is difficult to link up but be patient, It took me about 3 years one time before some one answered, and once they did, I found ancestry dating back to early 1700's-cool stuff.
Hello, i use Myheritage only with generated GEDCOMs.
Now family-members make changes online, i make changes in my AncestryDB (Ages! (Version 1.52)). Now i have newer information (not included in the first Tree). I upload my newest GEDCOM to my site. How i can match the first with the second tree?

You are lucky it is just 15 pages--Mine says that it will be 6000 pages if I were to print it.

Para los que esten interesados en crecer con "MY Heritage" el programa es bueno,pero para ser mejor falta mejorar los campos de la base de datos y aumentar las opciones en el menu. Le he escrito hasta el presidente de esta organizacion,pero no contestan. No entiendo como quieren tener exito. para los que como yo pasamos de 15.000 parientes no nos queda mas que apoyarnos en programas para archivos GEDCOM para tener reportes mas completos.Si piensan que existen programas que nos permitan mejorar, informenos por esta via.
I have some smart matches that I believe are correct. So, I'd like to connect those individuals to another persons tree. Can I do this? If not, why even have the smart matches.....especially online......the whole point is to be able to SHARE the information.
