From what I have found, the Smart Matching does all the finding for you. The more names/relatives you have, the more chances of finding a match. If there is someone with a family tree on Heritage that has names that match yours it will find them! It has even found similar names of people for me with the same date of birth. Hope this is useful to you. Good luck in your searching!

Hi there,
can anyone please shed some light on why the people in my family tree (which is my Father's family) are all listed in relationship with my step-mother, i.e. my uncle is listed as 'brother-in-law' instead of 'father's brother' or 'uncle', and why I can't alter this?
