I was wondering the same thing, although it's only been a week for me. But I kind of feel like I got ripped off because I upgraded to premium just for this purpose. My tree is on another genealogy website and it has hundreds of thousands of record matches, so I can't believe that the same tree here is not finding anything. I guess I'll just keep waiting.
Please note that for big trees as yours the Smart Matches might have a small 'delay' since they are recalculated and updated every time the person makes a change on his/her tree.

I can only answer for myself. I have about 200 confirmed matches from others awaiting my confirmation. However I can not confirm most of them since the data in the smart matches are not conclusive. I.E I have a wife and huspand with children and the matching tree supose to have the wife, sibblings and her parents whom I know nothing about. Also dates and places are missing so how can I confirm such a match.
In turn I have confirmed 20000 matches awaiting others confirmation. So sometimes I wonder why I bother to confirm at all as it is now.
I would like an option to mark smart matches as Unsure so I know I have handled the match but need more information and in that way also be able to filter out the once that are new to me.
Count yourself lucky, I've got 3,908 unconfirmed. That's with filtering repeated trees, basic trees, and trees not updated since 2011. Many people have gotten frustrated with the whole thing and don't even participate in smart matches anymore. Some don't worry about the matches, some don't see them. Then some use smart matches on Family Tree Builder and are not aware that they also have matches on the web site.
I'm one of the ones who became so frustrated with the "stupid matches" that I turned them off. The "development" team certainly doesn't develop ANYTHING. They seem to be concentrating on tweaking things no-one wants and ignoring the problems that people have been complaining about for years.
I doubt very much I will be renewing my premium membership. And they can't auto-renew my credit card because I used the Discover one-time online use number and that number will be rejected if they try to put it through
Im trying to work out smartmatches and how to use them best. I have a few qeustions.
If I choose to ignore smartmatches from a familytree on my website, does it have any affect on the suggested smartmatches in FTB?
Is there any kind of integration between the smartmatching on FTB and the one on my website? if yes - what?
How can i change my FTB, so I can see what smartmatches I have ignored or even better, so I can't see them at all in the list? when you look at the smartmatch list for all familymembers it tells you how many there are and how many you have confirmed for each familymember. Every time I work with smartmatches in FTB i spend a lot af time cheking om matches I have allready rejected, but I can't see that untill I open the detailed list for each person.
I look forward to the optimized searchengine, that I have been reading about, but I hope you will also find time to look into usabilty concerning the smartmatches, both in FTB and on the webside.
Smart Matching online and in FTB are separately maintained. This means that if you work on your tree in Family Tree Builder, you should choose where you prefer to work on your Smart Matches and do the work in only one place.
If you prefer the online interface for Smart Matching (as many people do) then it is better to work on your Smart Matches there. If you find information from a match you would like to merge, you can always go directly to the match for that specific individual in the tree in Family Tree Builder and make the merge.
If you prefer to work as much as possible in Family Tree Builder, then you can manage your matches there. Just keep in mind that any confirming or reject you do will not be reflected on your family site.

Although the FAQ suggests that new trees will begin to generate SmartMatches within a couple of days of creation and designation as SmartMatch eligible, I had been waiting to see SmartMatches start for over a month, and was thinking I had done something wrong. That new (replacement) tree was uploaded via GEDCOM in mid-August.
This morning, getting a hint from how quickly correction entries in one of my other older collateral databases got SmartMatched, I went in to the new tree and added a couple of new people directly into the MyHeritage database. (Normally, I add people to my local database to be uploaded periodically by GEDCOM) It seems that entering some information manually into the new tree "broke the dam", so to speak, and within a few minutes, the new tree acquired nearly 1,000 SmartMatches, and seems to be working just fine so far. Is it possible that the software needs some kind of flag to be set or unset after a GEDCOM is uploaded, and this can only be done by actually adding new or corrected persons to the new tree via the MyHeritage editor?
Well, partially successful, in that the SmartMatching is immediately activated for all persons that I add or change to the tree using the online editors, but there doesn't appear to be any way to activate SmartMatching for the people that were initially added in the GEDCOM upload.
Is this because changes are added to the SmartMatch at the front of the queue, while large GEDCOM adds are added to the back end of the queue for eventual processing as the system has time? Or are GEDCOM uploads not ever added to the SmartMatch queue? If that is so, is there a way to batch select the tree to submit it to SmartMatching?
Anyone else having this problem SmatMatching newly submitted GEDCOM trees? Could it be due to the very large size of the tree in question?
