I suggested this sometime ago, but it appears it has not been taken up.
Would it be possible in FTB in the the Tools> options> names to have an extra option for Empty last name of NOT KNOWN, Empty first name Not Known, and Empty full name Not Known NOT KNOWN?
I ask this as I have my own website and when my generator program converts GEDCOM to HTML, all names with Unknown show up as question (?) marks, in other words it doesn't know what to do, but if "Not known" or "NOT KNOWN" or "Not Known NOT KNOWN" is in the GEDCOM program it actually shows as "Not Known" etc in the HTML. surely this would be easy to add to the drop down options. I hope the developers would please seriously consider this option. I was a bit disappointed that it was not in the latest update to an otherwise EXCELLENT software.
Using Family Tree Builder: Is it possible to obtain an "Individual" Sheet? Obviously, not everyone has spouse/children, and I would like to be able to print all the information on a single individual instead of having to go to the parent and print out a "Family Group Sheet" and get ALL the information for ALL the children. That takes too many pages!
Using Family Tree Builder. Is there a way to re-arrange photos according to date (or however I want them ordered)? This "re-arranging" capability is built into both the "Facts" and "Children" modes, but I can't seem to find a way to re-arrange photographs. Is this possible? Thank you!
There is an option to sort photos by date, name etc. in the Family Tree Builder, by clicking on the title of the column, such as "Date", however this is only for the general photo display. If you would like to change the order of photos for a person, this should be done in the album sections of the photos.
We currently only have the Find Duplicates tool in Family Tree Builder and not on the site for those who edit the tree online. Since you edit your tree in Family Tree Builder, you can use it when editing your tree.
Scott, thanks for your reply, I would like to do the work on the online site and not Family Tree Builder. I have never had much luck going back and forth with new trees and deciding if i should or should not include pictures etc, etc.
