Please tell me how I can close my account with My Heritage. I opened it on 15/3/13 and have asked to close it from 16/3/13 onwards. I am not asking for refund, I am only asking for complete closure of my account. This is the most difficult process that I have encountered and as I am in my late 60s that's a real statement. There should be a simple way of doing this, why make it so hard? Sincerely, Patricia Cunningham Email is patiancunningham@gmail.com.
again I am asking you how to delete my account. Australia has consumer laws and I find your disinterest in answering me thoroughly frustrating. I joined on 15/3/13 and have been asking for disclosure since 16/3/13. I made huge mistake by joining up and want out. PLEASE delete my account and notify me.
Why cant an identification number (Other than ID) which can be controled by user, be assigned to individuals, which would indicate the generation detail and the branch detail of the person. Please refer to the attachment for an overview.
For instance 1.4 hints that the person belongs to 2nd generation and is 4th child; 1.3.2 hints that the person belongs to 3rd generation, second child of 3rd branch.
Is it possible for me to know weather this requirement is considered for implementation. If 'YES' will this be available with the next release of FTB. if 'NO', till when I need to waite for this feature.
I spoke with the developers regarding your request personally. Your request is being considered, but I can't say whether or not we'll implement it and when.
I find that members who have been invited by private site, (under the " settings ->Guest->private site , ) deletes the photos, with out the administrators knowledge.
How do we prevent these phot albums being deleted , at the same time allow the private members to have access to the photo album. Is there is Read only feature that could be set up by only the administrator, which would allow only to upload the pictures by private members but not allowing them to delete?
Once these pictures have been deleted is there any way those pictures could be traced by the administrator?
It would be good to have possibility to select what fields are exported to excel. Now it is fixed. I have to remove particular columns manually (and this is fine), but I miss some other information which are available in FTB but are not exported.
Currently, to my knowledge is all we share information from a tree with the community by MyHeritage activating the feature "Smart Matching" either we completely disables the feature.
I had the unpleasant surprise that data my personal tree (email, address, photos) have recovered using the "Smart Matching" on another tree, so that my family site MyHeritage is private.
So I disabled "Smart Matching" as shown in the Help: http://www.myheritage.com/help/2008/10/how-do-i-make-sure- all-my-information-is-kept-private/en
I used to publish genealogical data people who were born there over 150 years. (The law French also imposes the minimum 100 years). Is it possible to add a filter on the feature "Smart Matching" only those born after more xxx years (xxx being set).
Thank you in advance.
Aymeric

Thanks for the suggestion. I've got the head developer of Smart Matches standing beside me now so I'll make sure to bring it to his attention. Hopefully we'll be able to add an option like this in the future.
Currently, the only direct interaction between the site and the program is by publishing an FTB tree from the program to the website.
We are working on releasing a new feature that will allow both FTB and the website to work in synchronization.
So basically, in order to merge new details from the offline tree to the online tree, you will have to export a GEDCOM from the FTB program and then upload it to the website.
Another option is to work directly on the online tree (GEDCOM).
How kewl it would be to have ability for multiple Icons, or images on the Record View in FTB. Example below. Also, Virtual Cemeteries needs to be real Virtual Cemeteries, not one big collection point. One needs to be able to create a Cemetery by Name, and have only people from that Cemetery listed. This can easily be done by standardizing the search for burial location.
