This is copying and deleting, not merging. It requires a pen and paper to make sure you get all the connections and info transfered.
Please give us a screen to move the info from one record to another by selection of the field at the least. I.e., I can move the death and marriage info from one card to another in a merge screen. I can get here by going into a "People" list and selecting a card. Then select "merge with" and display a list of records with a search. Once you have the two "People" records. Show the two card fields as a list right-left list and let me select an arrow on marrage, death, children line to move the info over to the card you want to keep the info (removing it from the other).
This would be a great tool to copy info out of matching cards in other trees in "Smart Matches" section.
P.s. I bought a subscription because you export the GEDCOM and the photos. Thanks for this feature.
I agree with your process that requires pen and paper is not a solution. If the software can compare and merge data from two seperate sites, why not have the same feature internally to a tree?

Dear XXXXX, I've added you to our family tree on MyHeritage.com. It's a new Website for our family that lets us create and share our family tree, post our family photos and do a better job of keeping in touch! Our family tree currently has 642 people in it! Click here to visit our family site:

The family tree is a collaborative effort - please help out by adding names of family members who are not yet on the family tree. If you could also add some photos to the family tree, that would be great. I hope to see you soon on MyHeritage.com!
Yours, xxxxxxxx
********* We have sent you this email to allow you to enhance your family tree on MyHeritage.com. If you do not wish to receive emails like this in the future, click the following link:
Can this be modified? For sites where read only access has been granted to site members this wording should be removed or changed to something to the effect of :
. . . . .please feel free to contact me at email@address if yo have information orphotos you wish to add to the family tree.
The current message could still be used for additional site managers and sites where editing privileges are granted to members.
To invite new members you have to go to the home tab, site members and then select “invite more family”. It appears you can only sort members by first or last name and then you must go page by page to find the member you want. With a large number of people this is time consuming. It would be helpful to have a search feature here as there is under the site members tab.
Once I look at a smart match, I would like to be able to do a few things
1) Have a button to say that "yes this was correct" or "no this is wrong"
and then
2) Once I take the data, "remove from listing"
Right now I am up to about 400 smart matches - I only care about new interesting ones that come in. I do not want to have to look at 400 anymore, I'd like to delete most of them and also say that 20 are WRONG!
I agree with this suggestion. We should be able to delete smart matches if we want or at least move them to a "viewed" folder. At the time they may not seem linked but may be useful later. If there was a viewed folder you could go back to that folder later if you wanted to.
We have received many requests for this feature from our users, and it is something that we are working on at this very moment. A new Smart Matching interface will be released in the very near future offering deletion, collaboration and many other enhancements. Please stay tuned, it's worth waiting for!
Note: if you are using the Family Tree Builder software, you can mark certain matches as confirmed if they are correct, or rejected if they are wrong. To do so, go to the Matches section in the program, and then click any person to see their matches. Select the relevant match or matches, and click on the "Change Status..." button at the top of the page.
Confirming or rejecting matches is recommended as a way to work your way through your Smart Matches and spot new ones that you have not yet handled easily.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, we only have the option to mark and confirm matches in Family Tree Builder, and this feature does not transfer to your online site.
A new and much improved version of our Smart Matching engine has been released a few days ago. Among other things, it allows to confirm and reject matches like you want. Check it out!

Actually, the new confirm matches feature doesn't work very well. You either have to confirm all or one by one.
For example, I would like to have a checkbox next to each name so I can check more than one name to confirm rather than do them one by one. Along with that should be a global accept feature based on percentage so I can say, accept anyone who is a 75% match or greater.
I also would like a default setting to send an e-mail to the other submitter. That way you could eliminate the one by one selection.
