Emails only get answered on a random basis and not over the extened (myheritgae 4 day) weekend. Check back next thursday. Possible that Arbel or dan might have a few secons to answer you.

Please excuse me, I am a new user and have just started my family tree.
The problems I'm having is:
When I update my tree and try to publish, I get a response e.g. "Tree on web site is a later version than the one you are trying to publish" and it quotes a time in the future APPROXIMATELY 5 HOURS.
The second problem is How do I change the top of the tree? i.e. It shows my Mother inlaw (No jokes please) instead of my Grandad.
no no dont get rid of mother-in-law they make great babysitters and som are good in the garden. I have had two and would never get rid of them.
Oh dont worry about the time- they will 'balance out"its just better if YOU understand the time íssue"- - you could "cheat and sync your PC to Tel aviv time and "pretend "you are somewhare where you are not.
We have a phoen (landline) that was until recenlty synced to GMT- and I am in Ay=ustralia- and oh dear the drama that caused.
A person in my tree matches a person in another family tree when I do a search. How can I get to the other tree's main page to ask the manager to join? The tree is Goldbergfamily1 and the person is Julius Ponsky. For the life of me I can't find where to do it. I want to conatct the manager: David Goldberg. There are about 80,000 David Goldbergs so it is impossible to search through them one by one to find the one on that tree. Please make a suggestion.
By the way, even though the name julian Ponsky has been on my tree for a few weeks, no smart match has come up yet. It should have within a few days after I put his name on the tree.
I am facing an issue with the "Web Content" section. To describe ,
I am able to add a URL by specifying the type ( Link / You Tube / HTML snippet etc ) in a profile.
After saving, when i open it up again & try to make any changes ( to the URL itself or even to the description) , i get an error message stating " Illegal HTML Snippet ) and i am not able to do ANY changes, even though it's not a HTML snippet
Only way out is to delete it & then add a new URL.
Changing the GUI to japanese works perfectly, so does entering data in japanese. But Charts and Reports only display "." (dots) instead of the entered japanese characters. Changing the Report fonts to jap fonts doesn't help, even though "サンプル" (Sample) is displayed correctly in that dialog. ... this problem makes the software almost useless to japanese (all Asian?) families. Platform: Windows 7 x64

How do I correct an error in someone else's tree? I've gotten several matches in which it's stated that I died in 1966. In fact, it was my father who died then, and not me -- 47 years later, I'm very much alive! What's the procedure in a situation like this?
It depends on whether the other user is still active, in which case you could simply send a message via myheritage mail.
BUT if the user is now unfinancial and no longer active- then you have stumbled on one of myheritage's insumountable issues.
The error of data CANNOT be corrected- by anyone other that the originator. If you cant contact hime then its too bad.
The problem THEN gets worse becuase other users see the errant data, and as it remains uncorrected it soon becomes substantialted by volume matching- ie several users match to it therfore it MUST be correct.
The mere fact that it is in error and has been identified as error- is lost and once again truth and facts are overwhelemed by myheritage and its inabilty to correct and or offer a real soultion. Good Luck.
A long time agoI sent a note to a wrong translation into Norwegian.It applies several reports where it says "NN met MM"This should"NN married MM".Earlier you said that it would be corrected in the next version,but nothing happened.When will this correction.Another question is why can not the reports stored in eg.Word so that we ourselves can make minor mistranslations
