I don't know if I accidentally changed a setting, but I was looking at "matches" and when I went back to my tree, it looked a bit different. Normally I click on an ancestor and view their information on the far left side of the screen. It was a nice quick look at their life facts, and now I can only seem to get that if I view the entire profile for that individual. What happened?

I can understand that you might have doubts when you find the online tree you're familiar with has changed.
So, what's so great about the new tree?
The look of the tree hasn't changed much so you don't need to relearn how to use the tree. Viewing, navigating and searching the tree is basically the same and editing the tree is very much the same as well.
There are some nice additions though, like the Radar, which allow you to see a "map" of the tree and instantly jump to any place. In the previous version if you wanted to travel through the tree, you had to click and drag endlessly to get anywhere.
The new tree editor only has one style (or view) right now - the Classic view has been discontinued - but that will change as we're adding some new styles so you will still be able to see the tree in the view you like best.
In the new online tree when you hover over a person or click on that person's card in the tree you get their basic information, rather than seeing it on the left hand side in a panel. This gives you a lot more real estate for viewing the family tree in context and it also shows you information about people in a more dynamic, integrated fashion. If before you had to click on each person in the tree to see their basic info, now all you have to do is move your mouse around to anyone and their info immediately pops up.
We streamlined the editing options. For example, in the previous version of the family tree editor you also had a lot of other options that didn't really belong in the ADD phase. All those options have appropriate places now that make much more sense. There are more flexible options for adding dates in the new tree editor. You can add dates like "before", "after", "from...to...", etc. Adding and editing marriages and partnerships is quicker now too as the fields are located in the instant, basic editing fields.
Birthday and anniversary notifications are bigger and brighter, add me cards show you where you need to add more ancestors, you can invite people directly from the tree by adding email addresses and more.
An important change in the new online family tree is that it is now HTML5 based. This means you can access and edit the tree from any mobile device or tablet, which was not possible before. The switch to HTML5 also made it possible for us to offer editing in the MyHeritage app, which is great for people who edit their trees online - you can now truely edit your tree anywhere, anytime.
Family Tree Builder users will also benefit from editing in the new tree as version 7.0 of the program will offer the ability to make edits online and integrate them into your tree in the program.

Hi, I really appreciate the tree map fature, it is great and helpful. BUT, please bring back some easy and quick way of displaying and editing all basic facts about person selected in the tree (the former left column). I (and not only me) was using it for quick overview of the person, really very often. I have written there my notes and additional info, which I was using during working with the tree. I feel blind without this, finding these information now is really irritating. I think, that these facts could be in the basic info popup (where only header from the former left column is now) or it would be nice to have it on the left side the same way, as tree map - small arrow e.g. in the top left corner, which will open this additional info about selected person, with some possibility of quick editing.
And the second thing, not so crucial - zoomed out tree (in about 1 third from the end) has meaningless fat font.
You are not the only ones who weren't happy with the removal of the left side panel. We've seen that this is a very important feature of the online tree editor. The developers are currently in discussions about brining it back.

I agree with previous posters that you need to restore the quick edit option on the left side of the tree display. I used this on a daily basis. Having to go into the deeper profile to edit things like census data and alternate death (which I have not been able to find now) is inconvenient. The info and posting options you get "hovering" over the card are not equivalent. This could convince me to migrate to ancestry.com
I don't really want to pile on to the complaints, but I am a bit disappointed to lose the left side section with personal information. Before, that was a quick look at a info, but now if I want to know where my g-grandfather worked in 1920 I have to click 3 times through to get to that information.
I really hope there will be other views or styles available in the future soon.
I have been trying to work with this new system - I spend more time trying to find a pearson - either you have a large picture or no picture or you have lost what you had on your screen or you spend so much time looking for help, you run out of the time you want to spend on the computer and you did not get any thing done.-I much perfer to click on a
family member that is just over the shoulder-like trying to find my husbands family - in the classic view ( those nice little picture frames) just click over my husbands left shoulder and there was his family - so easy- why could you not add these new apps to that classic view. this new view is very frustrating. Sharon Would like to add - I noticed there are two little patches on the right of my name that alows me to go into y family. None on my husand - Why he has a family that is in the computer.

You may not like the changes and you may feel very strongly about them - that is fine and it is important feedback for us.
However, it does not give you license to attack anyone personally. Nor does it benefit anyone reading these forums.
If you have problems using MyHeritage we will work to fix them. I see in your other post that it looks like you might be having some specific issues that we can investigate. If you would like me to look into them for you, please tell me.
The bottom line is, changes are inevitable. It's not only MyHeritage that makes updates to their products and services. This is a simple fact of life on the internet. There will always be features that you like and features that you see and ask why?
We cannot please everyone. However, every person on the MyHeritage team knows we do the best job we can.

There are several videos that were not recorded with sound by design. They are short tutorial videos showing how to do various things like import a GEDCOM, etc.
...and the SIDEBAR with supporting information is just GONE in logged-in mode.

Zooming up the page makes it ridiculously LARGE, with no added information, like birth place and death place. Making it small does not scale fonts.
The profile page has content irrelevant to dead persons. Contact information is superfluous.
On the plus side location of birth is added, a necessary step for provenance.
Still the Swedish language is fawlty, "birth date" is written as "birthday".
Editing options have been locked, when adding a wife, imposing a married last name. (this is a legal "thing" and says nothing of the persons provenance. Maiden names should be kept intact. Any idiot can see if she is married she may use her husbands name.

Even with a PC with a core i7 and $200 graphics card the new layout is slow. GENi is faster, (maybe because they don't render off-screen info).

I saw that it was said that they would return the left panel. Mine has not returned, and I can't find any way for that to be an option. Is it fixed for you? I was just wondering when they might finally put it back so that it works again. I, too, used it VERY frequently and miss it very much.
I investigated this issue and I am able to see Douglas' 39th Birth Day event in the upcoming events on the homepage and also in the calendar on the site.

I have downloaded the newest version 3 times, uninstalled, reinstalled, but everytime I try to open the program I get this error message:
C:Program files\MyHeritage\Bin\Myheritage.exe
The specified path does not exist.
Check the path then try again.
I have tried cleaning my Registry with PC Cleaner and Microsoft Essentials. Do you know anyway to fix this?? I read it might have something to do with the past updated verion of Myheritage

Can you look and see if maybe the Anti-Virus blocked our FTB Software?

Can you browse to the directory (using the windows explorer):
