There is no real limit to the resolution of photos that you upload - what I mean by that is that you can upload pictures as high as 10k x 10k, but the servers will reduce the size and the quality as we are not a company to store high-res photos.
Maybe I am just being blind or stoopid, but I can't for the life of me find any way to edit the individuals that I have already entered. A little help?
It is supposed to be possible according to the help page. But it isn't working as the instructions say it should. Instead I'm getting a pop up saying: "There is a genealogy project currently open. In order to proceed, it should first be closed".
That's contrary to the instructions - has anyone any advice. Many thanks.
Both gedcom are on my hard disk with version 3.0.0.820 of FTB. I opened my family tree, then under file I chose, import gedcom, in the first pop-up I selected 'gedcom' and not zip or ftl file type. I then clicked browse and selected the the .ged file. I then clicked next. That's when the popup appeared. Thanks very much.

you are trying to merge the gedcom on FTB right?
In which step do you get the pop up?
do you have both of the gedcom on the hard disk or is one from the site?

Respond to the pop up by saying Yes, thus closing the project that is open.
The next step in the pop up will be Gedcom header information and after that you will have a configuration window, it is at this window that you will see Output and the option to merge rather than creating a new genalogy project.
Inputting and displaying the diacritic marks should no be a problem, as long as you have the proper keyboard active (CS or SK) and that it sends out a representation that your browser can understand. (UTF-8 or Win1251) the problem is that the adobe distiller ( PostScript) does not have some of those characters defined and prints out a blank whenever is doesn't have a character to put there. The people at Myheritage should look at how the distiller is setup make it embed the corresponfing ISO Latin 2 character set.
It's not hard to do, I generate PDF in various languages all the time and have never had a problem with it.

Thank you for explanation, but how to force them to make the things better ? They do not have any conctacting e-mail, only this chat which is probably not read. It is a pitty. Due to this my Ancestry books looks like terrible and it is a pitty.

From the beginning, the thumbsized photo presentation was correct, but after about one month it started to show a black background with the actual photo in the upper left corner - reduced to less than 20% of the picture frame.
At first, the problem appeared only in a handful of pictures. Slowly, more and more pictures were contaminated and today most pictures have been converted to the new and very unprofessional-looking format. As you may see in the attached illustration, the actual pictures are too small to enable proper identification of the photo contents.
I have tested with two different computers. One with Windows XP professional, one with Windows Vista Home Premium. Both computers tested using browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3.0.6. No difference.
Anyone our there with an idea about how to solve this problem?
It looks like it was more or less fixed. The problem remained, however, in one single picture which was contaminated when shown as associated with a person in the Tree. When shown as part of the entire album, however, the picture was OK.
I tried several times to delete and replace it with a fresh copy, but the problem came back in the replacement . In the end, I just let deleted be deleted. I can live without that particular picture. Otherwise, I believe the problem has been solved.
