Is this a Mickey Mouse outfit. You have me recorded as living in Australia with a grandson who also lives in Australia. SO up comes a reminder that it is his birthday TOMORROW ! No it isn't ! It's today ! Are you unaware of global time-zones ? We don't all live in Europe or America.
I too live in Australia, and this has been going on for years now with promises to fix it ,but it never happens.Annoying, and useless but overall My Heritage is a great program. So hang in there.
The errors occur due to global time zones. You have my location as Britain. Unless my knowledge of geography is wrong how can Brisbane Australia be located on Britain. When it is a certain date here in Australia that date is one day ahead of Europe. So an email telling me of a birthday TOMORROW is WRONG as the birthday is TODAY. This has occurred more than once. Wake up ! The planet is bigger than you think.
thank you for the details. This is a bug in our system, we are very sorry for the inconvenience and we hope we will be able to fix it as soon as possible.
This has been going on for years ,and never gets fixed. How about someone coming up with a date as to when it will be fixed, instead of the standard answer"we are looking into it"!
I was just curious about your post. It seems to me the only ones interested in a photo from find a gave would be other family members, so they would be the only ones downloading the pictures. Why would you be willing to share photos of the dearly departed with anyone who happens to look on find a grave's site, but not be willing to share them with family members on the MyHeritage site??? I'm not trying to be condesending, or make you angry, I just don't understand your reasoning????
MyHeritage has an agreement with Find A Grave under which it is licensed to show search results from Find A Grave in MyHeritage. The result contains a link to the original page on the Find A Grave website.
If you uploaded content to Find A Grave which you wish to make public, contact Find A Grave and ask for its removal. It will then automatically be removed from MyHeritage as well.
"If you uploaded content to Find A Grave which you wish to make public, contact Find A Grave and ask for its removal"
Sorry, but this response makes no sense??
Whatever agreement you have with Findagrave it does NOT include some one elses photos added to the site.
This is taken directly from the Findagrave FAQ's
I found a photo of a relative on Find A Grave, can I use it?
Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo.
Any photos that I have posted are still MINE and not to be used on your site without my permission.
Thank you for sending me the relevant search results over email.
I have removed the links from MyHeritage to your records on Find A Grave, and have also removed all the photos already copied from there from the relevan MyHeritage family sites.
Hi all, one of my site members has contacted me saying she is unable to send birthday greetings etc. She appears to be blocked somehow. Loads of other members of my site do this and I cant find any settings to unblock her.
Thank you for writing and we appreciate your patience.
Could you please give us the name of the member in question? If you would like, we can discuss this over private email if you send an email to Support@myheritage.com.
Could you try maybe deleting her and then re-adding?
Please, let me know so we can solve this problem for you!
I'd like to be able to create links to site member profiles when I add content to the site. For instance, the system clearly allows for putting <Webmaster name> for site administrator. How can I create similar links when I mention a site member? For instance, <Joanna Kleinschmidt>. Is there already a way to do this that I'm missing?
Thank you for writing and we appreciate your comment. Unfortunately this option is currently not available. However I will suggest it to our developers and hopefully it will be included in the future.
We value your feedback, and we appreciate you writing us!
How do I change my picture on my family tree? I have changed it in my profile and deleted the original picture, but ithe old one is still showing in my family tree.
When you import a tree at MyHeritage, it is displayed in branches simply because it is impossible to show all individuals at once.
All 110 individuals in your tree are there, you're just viewing a branch of 52 people. If you click on the blue and pink boxes at the top of a person card you can move to a different branch of the tree.
I am trying to figure out if I can have calendars made that would feature different branches of my tree?
Or do they all just start with me and follow my line?
