The genealogy center hasn't been updated in a while, which is why your site does not appear there. I will forward your request to our developers to update it again.
I am curious about your comment that "the Genealogy Center hasn't been updated in a while". Approximately when was it last updated?
I have had my family tree on MyHeritage for at least 2 years and I am not seeing any of the names from my tree when I search in the Genealogy Center. During this whole time I have had the Smart Match option "Make this family tree public in the Genealogy Center" checked and my privacy option for guests is set to Mixed Site.
Do I possibly have some other option set incorrectly?
THe reason that you don't see your site in the Genealogy Center search is that we haven't updated it in a while. We apologzie for the inconvenience.
The reason the Genealogy center has not been updated is that our developers are working very hard on a new enhanced SuperSearch engine that will include an improved version of the Genealogy center and much more. It should be released soon, so stay tuned- it's worth waiting for!
Cordiali saluti,
Noam MyHeritage squadra

Hi Angelo,
You make a good point.
Currently, it is possible to use the Tools > Publishing > Advanced publishing settings menu, and choose which individuals you want to publish to the site (including spouses and descendants).
but this "whitelist" will not help you, what you are asking for is a "blacklist", where you can choose a specific individual not to publish.
This is a very nice feature request, which I will forward to our Product Development team.
I know about the "Tools > Publishing > Advanced publishing settings menu", but it doesn't allow to select multiple name (with ctrl or shift) and so it takes a long time to select one by one about one hundred people. And it shall be done each time you publish. So it is not a praticable solution.
My suggestion is to add an other flag (other that the one already present to set a people as private) in the detail of each person to disallow the publication of such a person, as if such a person doesn't exist at all. This of course should disable the publication of also all the other people which are tied to the tree by means of explicitly disabled person.
The other issue is the different line for adoption line which should not used in case of living people.
I think the general idea is that other people will have info you will want but don't want to bother to ask you to add it. The recommendation itself is no big deal and has nothing to do with individual members' thoughts or preferences.
It would be good if members could make amendments to the tree but the proposed changes went to the site Manager to view and approve. Something like the way Smart Matches are displayed...
Yes, please allow members to continue to edit/update information, but I agree that this information must be approved by the site administrator. I put so much work into researching data on my ancestors and when another family member updates the details of someone I have already researched, I'm very concerned. This should not be allowed to happen without my approval. Thanks for listening, and I really love using your site to track my genealogy! :)
I tried downloading Updates for my MyHeritage 4 a number of times. While the Update to both 5 and 6 seem to work properly, I can no longer use my Outlook Express 6. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I can't even send the error report detail via the error screen as my email doesn't work!
I want you to try and find the following dll files: oeapiinitcom.dll and oestore.dll on your computer, and register them again. This might solve the problem.
To do so, you first have to find the DLL files.
they might be here:
c:program filesadd-in~1addinsresend~1
but i'm not sure. You can try to use windows search to find them.
once you find them, open a command prompt (run > CMD) and run the following commands:
Sorry I took so long to get back to you but haven't had a chance to play with this problem until now!
I installed FTB 6 and searched for the DLLs you suggested. My searches came up empty! So can go no farther with registering them.
When I start up FTB 6 I get a message saying that there is a newer version to go from FTB 5 to FTB 6. When I run the upload I get a message that I have the latest version of FTB 5!
Will now run my Backup to retrieve my old settings so I can use my Outlook Express!
On MyHeritage online, the software allows you to paste html, but it when it prints the family book it shows the html codes instead of what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG).
When will this issue be fixed?
It makes the family book unreadable.
Even when I just type directly in a note text box, it is printing the carriage return as html code.
I have also complained about this problem back in July.
I'd have thought it would be relatively simple to fix. Just filter the GEDCOM and strip the HTML before it is fed to Nigel Bufton's program.Ideally some formating would be preserved, but I'd be happy with a quick fix.
Our programmers decided that since there are some programs that can import these HTML tags, to remove HTML tags only in case of creating a family book. This issue is currently only partially fixed- but they are woring on it.
I will update you regarding the matter as well, and apologzie for the inconvenience.
