Does anybody know if we can purchase an upgrade and pay monthly, as I am a pensioner who enjoys the site, I do not have the wherewithall to pay a complete year up front but would willingly pay a monthly direct debit or standing order, I would love to have premium upgrade but at the moment this is not possible. I have sent an email to the support email address but have has no response, despite receiving an email staying as a premium member my enquiry has been given priority. Have followed up on the email a few days later and still no response, only receiving a new ticket number with each email I send.
I sent an email enquiring about a refund on the premium payment I was charged which I believe I should have been made aware of BEFORE I was charged - leaving me in a rather difficult financial situation as I now don't have enough money for more important bills due before my next pay day.
That is very frustrating as I believe there should be enough staff on the support team that emails should not go more than 2 business days without a reply. I know I too have waited as much as two weeks for a reply and it has left me stuck until I've heard back and yet other times a reply can come quicker. I guess it depends on the question.
I have found it quicker to get help from other members on this forum but in your case that would not be possible as you need to get a credit back in order to cover your other bills. I either saw your post before or someone else's who was having the same problem so I went into my account to see if that could happen to me. I think what the problem might be is My Heritage has in very small print that what ever plan you have will be billed annually and they have no place to check off that you want to be notified first before charging your credit card. I am not even sure this is legal in most countries but for sure people should be made aware of this and notify their credit card companies that you do give permission to have your credit card charged. At least then you would have recourse with the CC company if you couldn't get satisfaction from My Heritage.
I have had my credit card compromised a number of times so the card number they have on file fortunately won't work when it comes time for renewal and they will have to contact me for an updated card. So far I am mostly happy with the site (although they do have a number of glitches that I have found and they are slow at responding to inquiries), but I will probably renew when the time comes. Good luck with your problem and contact your credit card company to get them working on it from their end.
Because there is a trend for auto billing - on auto renew, I made sure I paid myheritage with a Bank cheque (check).
That way I am in control of my re-new.
The other option I now have is pre=paid visa card, that has ZERO credit function but I can "load" it with an anount to say pay a subscription- the card transactioons are deemed "credit card" but in fact its a Debit card. and by its nature CANNOT have funds syphoned off by business with suspect re-new policy.
Look arond and you migh be able to find similar accounts- mine is actulally run via Supermarket chain Woolworths in Australia.

I would like to change my expired Premium account to Basic. If I understood well, we should fulfil the conditions for that and we are not planing to extend our family web right now, thus Basic membership is ok for us.
Due to personal and medical circumstances I have to give up my roles as owner and site manager of my family web site (Premium Plan). I want to transfer my site ownership to a cousin. I already “promoted” him to (second) site manager. He does not manage another website. I used the Family Tree Builder to create our family tree. What do we have to do to transfer the account with all responsibilities and authorities from me to him?

I know the trees are limited to 250 people on basic account. Is that 250 overall, or if I want, say, 3 trees published with 250, 130, and 200 =580, is this allowable or am I only limited to 250 overall? In other words 250/580.
