Yes, the plan is to release FTB 7.0 with full sync before the end of the year. There will probably also be a beta program, if you wish to participate, let me know.
sorry if I ask in the wrong forum... I have a question regarding to ftb 7.. I use ver. 6 on my pc, but because my sister also do some research, I have to use the online ver.. FTB7 with full sync, does it means that I can use ftb 7 on my pc, and my sister the same, or does she have to use the online ver.??
I am eagerly awaiting version 7 so that we can work with FTB and online by syncing. - I see you invite people to join the beta-program. can I be so forward as to ask for this type of access too?

A question: will it be possible that several people can use FTB to maintain one single on line familiy tree? So when I do some changes in FTB they will synchronised with the on line tree, and when my sister is doing some changes on her computer also with FTB, that those changes are also synchronised in both directions. So at the and the on line family tree and both my and my sisters FTB have all our changes?

as to your question - for the first release of FTB Sync, only site managers will be able to edit the tree in his FTB and online, and syc the changes.
For the next version, other site members will also be able to edit tree online. It is not recommended to sync the same tree from two FTB clients at the same time.
With FTB 7 you will be able to open your tree for editing online, even though you edit it on your computer with FTB. However, it will not be possible to edit one tree on two seperate computers with FTB.

I'm missing also sync feature. I was hoping that sync feature will be available in 5.0.
Without sync feature FTB is useless for any advanced usage :(
I hope you will issue version 5.5 of FTB with added only sync feature. It shouldn't be so hard to do now you support import/export of GEDCOM files in both versions (FTB and Online).
Could we please get an update on this one ? You guys estimated the feature would be available in roughly 1 year (188 days ago). Again, I think this is a pretty basic feature, and I'm certain a large number of your customers (or potential customers) would love to see this.
